So, I’ve been keeping an eye (not literally, that would be creepy) on this new game, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. It’s a Soulslike — think hardcore action, lots of dying — but with a twist. The folks at Leenzee, a Chinese developer, are serving up something set in the… get this… Ming Dynasty. Yep, that’s the kind of flavor we’re talking about.
Whenever this thing popped up in previews, people seemed pretty psyched. And now, with the launch date practically staring us in the face, Leenzee decided to drop some last-minute deets.
The big day is July 24. Mark it. It’ll be a big one on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Oh, and Game Pass users, you get it on day one too. But here’s where things have been a bit fuzzy — like when you just wake up and your brain’s not quite there yet. What kind of PC are you gonna need?
So, here’s the scoop. Wuchang looks awesome, no doubt, but it’s not firing on all the newest high-tech cylinders, unlike its cousin, Black Myth: Wukong. That means your trusty non-gaming rig might still hold up. Today, they spilled the specs, but left out any word on framerates or resolution. Weird, right? And, oh yeah, they tested this with DLSS/FSR pumping in the background. Important tidbit.
The specs lean on the chill side, so don’t sweat too much. Chances are you’ll get smooth sailing. Unless your PC is ancient, then… good luck!
Minimum Specs (Dive in time):
– OS: Windows 10 64bit.
– CPU: Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
– RAM: 16GB RAM. Dual channel is a thing, apparently.
– GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB.
– DirectX: 12. Whatever that means.
– Storage: 60GB. They say SSDs make a difference, but you do you.
Recommended Specs (For the fancy folks):
– OS: Windows 10/11 64bit.
– CPU: Intel Core i7-9700/AMD Ryzen 5 5500.
– RAM: Same RAM. 16GBs. Don’t skimp.
– GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070/AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT/Intel Arc A750. That’s a mouthful.
– DirectX: 12, again.
– Storage: Still 60GB. SSDs required. Take note!
Anyway — wait, no — where was I? Oh right, launch times! I don’t know why this stuck with me, but I decided to list them out. Could be useful if you’re planning a global launch party or something.
– Los Angeles: July 23, 7pm.
– Chicago: July 23, 9pm.
– Bogota and New York: July 23, 9pm and 10pm, respectively.
– Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo: July 23, 11pm.
Flip the world halfway:
– London: July 24, 3am.
– Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome: July 24, 4am.
– And so on… Kyiv at 5am, Dubai at 6am.
Further east, where the sun’s already shining bright:
– Bangkok at 9am.
– All three amigos, Chengdu, Beijing, Hong Kong: July 24, 10am.
– Finally, Seoul and Tokyo at 11am.
– Sydney at noon, which sounds like the perfect lunch gaming session.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it. Chaos wrapped in gaming glory. Stay psyched, game on, and maybe have a snack ready for those all-nighters. I don’t know why I always eat during these things, but that’s me.
