Oh man, where to start with this? Sega’s been up to some real interesting stuff. So, they’ve thrown out the details about who’s lending their voices in English for Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut. It’s hitting the Nintendo Switch 2 — which sounds futuristic and kinda intimidating, like do I even have room for another console? Anyway, it’s dropping on June 5th, 2025. Crazy far away? Or maybe not that far at all. Time’s weird.
They say there’s a new theme song too. “Bubble” by Shōnan no Kaze. I haven’t heard it yet. Probably catchy as heck. But you do you — if you wanna check the trailer, it’s up there somewhere. I bet it’s visual bliss.
Yong Yea, this YouTuber guy who’s also a voice dude, he’s playing Kazuma Kiryu, the main dude. Hey, if you haven’t seen his stuff, he’s pretty solid. And then Topher Ngo, another new name, he’s on the singing end during those quirky in-game minigames. Don’t know why, but it made me wonder what song he’d sing at karaoke night. Random, I know.
And there’s this list of other voices — you got David Hayter, Matt Mercer, and a handful of others. Another fun fact: I’ll probably still go for the OG Japanese audio. It just… feels right, y’know? But hey, if English is your jam, live your truth.
Seriously, do you think this changes the whole vibe of the game? Two snippets floating around with Kazuma and Goro’s voices — I’m curious now, in a “should I binge this” kinda way.
Ugh, look at me rambling. Anyway, what do you think about all this voiceover news? It’s a hot topic for sure. But please, no drama in the comments, okay? Keep it cool and chill.
