Hey, so guess what? Theia Games just dropped this new thing called STARVAULT. It’s like a MOBA—yeah, the kind with big ol’ 5v5 battles—but in VR. And it’s in open beta for the Quest now.
Anyway, back to the point. You’ve got these nine heroes, right? Each one’s got its own vibe—like, totally different weapons and skills. The usual MOBA stuff is there: smashing towers, capturing strongholds, all that jazz. Plus, there’s farming creeps and camps to get XP. You know the drill.
But—I mean, this is the cool part—it’s first-person. So, imagine a sort of Halo vibe? With portals and jump pads. I didn’t even know I needed jump pads until now. No microtransactions either, at least for now. Free feels kinda nice, doesn’t it?
They’re aiming for Early Access in Summer 2025. That’s when they’ll roll out more heroes and, hopefully, polish things up. They’re also talking about adding monetization, like skins and other optional stuff. But, they swear it’s not going to be one of those pay-to-win messes. Hope they stick to that promise.
Oh, and a full launch is planned for early 2026. More heroes, new modes, different mechanics. Sounds kinda ambitious, right? Like, they want it to be a big VR esport thing. Who knows how that’ll go?
Anyway, if you’re curious, you can try it out now on Quest 2. I guess just dive in and see what the fuss is all about. Might be a fun distraction or maybe the next big thing. Who’s to say?
