Oh man, where do I even start with this? So, The Witcher 3—yeah, it’s been around for like, a decade now. Time flies when you’re replaying old games, right? If all the chatter about TW3 has you itching to dive back into it, there’s this shiny new mod that might just mess with your brain a bit, especially if you’re all hyped for The Witcher Remake.
Anyway, how do you mix up your Witcher-ing, you ask? Well, imagine swapping out one Witcher skill system for another from, get this, an older Witcher game. Confusing? Yep. But kinda cool too. Or maybe it’s just me overthinking it. Classic me.
So this mod, okay, it’s from someone called Gerwant30. Apparently, this person was a big deal in a modding contest with CD Projekt. Something about exploring Cintra? I don’t know, it’s there if you wanna check it out. Part of this “Tales of the Witcher” project—sounds epic, right? Anyway, they’ve done this thing where you can control Geralt’s skill development more, with a ton of new talent trees and skills. I guess it’s like shopping but for magic and combat abilities. Who doesn’t love options?
There’s a video or something—it shows different levels like bronze, silver, and gold talents. It’s all about building up, you know? Start small with bronzes then bam! Next thing you know, you’re all silvers and golds, like a witcher superstar. There are these major skill trees and a bunch more for signs and attacks and stuff. I won’t lie, sounds like they’ve crammed a whole encyclopedia of skills in there.
They say your character build is key. So, skills and talents over gear stats. Yeah, that totally tracks if you’re a fan of deep customization. But just a heads up, some skills might not be totally polished since this thing’s still in beta. Oversight or strategy? You decide.
Quick note though, if you’re thinking of loading up an old save—don’t bother. This mod is for fresh starts only in the base version of TW3. And heads up, you’ll need another mod called ‘Alchemy’ by SkylineR390. Who names these things, seriously?
Oh, and there are other mods too! Like TheMenxceX’s camera mod, if that’s your jam.
So, were you more into the first Witcher’s old-school ways, or is TW3’s setup just life now? What’s your take? Drop a comment or something. Or don’t. Your call!
