Oh man, Oblivion’s Dark Brotherhood questline? It’s like crack for those who love sneaky contracts and, well, a bit of digital bloodshed. This new thing, “Oblivion Remastered,” is kinda like adding turbo boosters to an already sweet ride. One of those, some genius — or maybe just someone with waaaay too much time — cooked up a whole new deal: 100 fresh targets for the Brotherhood. Which means, yep, more folks to, uh, “take care of” if the brotherhood lifestyle is your jam.
I mean, who wouldn’t want to be the one doing the hunting for once? Not that I ever minded being the hero, but sometimes being the sneaky hunter just feels better. Oh, and if you grabbed other mods — which you totally should if you’re getting deep into this — you’ll find some wild stuff.
And — get this — the mod’s got a name straight outta a dark fantasy: ColdTyrant’s ‘Dark Brotherhood – Infinitum’. It’s all about that dark life. You got quests involving the Mythic Dawn and even necromancy, but ColdTyrant decided to stick to what they’re good at.
So, the deal? You get to wander through 100 new quests, all repeatable. Fancy word for endless fun, right? They’re all set up in this radiant quest system — sounds fancy, I know. Dive into these whenever you feel like spicing up your gameplay or just want to rake in some gold, cause who doesn’t like getting rich?
Now, not to freak you out, but instead of killing off everyone in Cyrodiil (yikes), you’re hitting up new NPCs with amusing monikers like ‘Diligent Father’. Pretty sure my actual father wouldn’t appreciate that comparison, but here we are. You start at the Cheydinhal Sanctuary, and the iconic Creeper from Morrowind — remember that scamp? — is your go-to guy for missions and sweet loot.
Okay, eyebrow raise moment: get through a mission and not only do you snag 500 gold, but also two “Dark Tokens.” It’s like those arcade tickets, but shadier. Throw them into Creeper’s Reward gacha Roulette for surprises like weapons or armor. It’s nuts. A gacha wheel in Oblivion? Whoever dreamed this up is a pure genius or deeply chaotic.
Now, if you’re like me and both love and fear a good gacha, this is your chance. You’ll need to snag a couple things first like Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and some other tech stuff I didn’t totally pay attention to. Basically, get it and get spinning.
And hey, once you’ve tackled this, dive into our other coverage on Oblivion Remastered. There was this modder — can’t recall the name but rad work — who adjusted the world just a day after the big release. Anyway — or was it something else I wanted to say? — happy Oblivigachaing!
