Listen, I don’t know why this caught my attention, but Meta’s gone and done something with their Horizon Worlds editor that’s kinda interesting, even if “interesting” isn’t the word you’d think. Anyway, they’ve added this bunch of new AI tools aiming to make life easier for folks fiddling around in there.
So, they’ve rolled out two tools—‘Creator Assistant’ and ‘Style Reference’. I mean, at first, doesn’t it sound a bit like something an overworked PR team would dream up? But let’s imagine for a second they actually help.
The Creator Assistant, Meta says, is like having a buddy who knows stuff, just sitting there. It’s supposed to help with understanding what you’re doing (context-aware, whatever), set things up, kinda like a backstage helper who’s also writing scripts for you. “Context-aware” and “natural language” are buzzwords, sure, yet here we are.
Saw a pic alongside the post—some futuristic-looking desktop that shouted “Look, I’m techy!” Not entirely sure why it stood out. Maybe it’s how the wires added to the chaos?
Back to it. This Assistant deal cuts out some of the usual headaches like prototyping, and it’s supposed to make messing around a breeze for small teams or the lone ranger. Could be great—or just another tool that sits there.
Oh, and the ‘Style Reference’—that one’s supposed to make sure you’re not repeating yourself. Think matching outfits but for your projects. You save those styles and use ‘em again. Could be a lifesaver or just one more dropdown to deal with.
Big news though—these tools aren’t just for the usual spots anymore. If you’re in places like India, Vietnam, or parts of the EU, congrats, you’ve been noticed. More countries on the list too.
And wait, they’ve even thrown in some extras—3D stuff, audio bits, the whole shebang. If you’re into building digital worlds, this might actually be handy. But again, does it really make life easier or just add to the noise? Who knows, really.
