Destiny 2 Might Have Unintentionally Revealed Heresy’s Conclusion

Episode Heresy has emerged as a standout expansion for Destiny 2, garnering widespread acclaim and success. As the game prepares to transition to a new model with Frontiers, this expansion’s success is particularly significant. There’s still much to learn about the upcoming expansion and Bungie’s plans for updates, making Heresy’s achievements even more notable. Secrets tucked away within the Dreadnaught add a layer of nostalgia for veteran players, and while the storyline shines, the conclusion may already seem predictable to some.

However, the experience is somewhat marred by an unfortunate issue: two characters lack recorded dialogue due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Sloane and Xivu Arath, pivotal figures in Heresy and established characters in Destiny 2, are instead portrayed through subtitles, which is disappointing. Sloane, taking the role of the main NPC following the prologue, and Xivu Arath, recently appearing in the Kludge mission, provide insights into how Heresy might wrap up.

This response aligns perfectly with Oryx’s adherence to the Sword Logic, which holds that he deserved his fate if defeated. Xivu Arath’s assertion that Oryx shall be revived once his vanquisher is defeated suggests she could serve as a boss in Heresy. Even if she isn’t ultimately slain, she may likely attempt to eliminate the Guardian to resurrect her brother.
