HTC Offers Limited-Time Discount on Vive Pro 2, Including Headset & Full Bundle

Alright, let’s dive into this ramble about the Vive Pro 2—because, why not? This bonkers journey starts in 2021 when HTC gave birth to this PC VR headset baby—Vive Pro 2. Think of it as that good ole car you’ve had since college. Reliable, but maybe a tad clunky. Anyway, HTC’s having a big ol’ Summer of Gaming Sale until June 30th. And guess what? This trusty headset’s finally affordable… or at least more affordable.

So, here’s the scoop. The full kit? Initially $1,199, now slashed to $799.99. You get the whole enchilada—headset, SteamVR 2.0 base station, and those wand controllers. Just want the headset? Well, that’s $699 reduced to $499.99. No base stations or controllers though—just the headset. Oh, and they’re throwing in a couple of months of Viveport Infinity. More games than you could ever fit in your backlog. Seriously.

Specs? Oh boy, here we go. Resolution’s 2,448 × 2,448 per eye. If you’re into numbers. Fancy dual-element Fresnel lenses—not the most svelte but hey, they do the job. Field-of-view’s a decent 120° horizontal. IPD and eye relief adjustments? Check. All the USB and DisplayPort connections you never knew you needed. Tracking with SteamVR 1.0 or 2.0. Controllers? Yep, those wand things with rechargeable batteries. There’s audio and microphones and even pass-through cameras if you’re curious. I mean, talk about overkill, right?

Now, let’s admit facts—it’s no spring chicken. Compared to something like the sleek Bigscreen Beyond 2, which is as light as a whispered secret and, erm, whispers its specs too. But, Vive Pro 2 being $200 cheaper with all the extras might just sway you if your wallet’s feeling light and your PC can handle the VR hustle.

Oh! I almost forgot—HTC’s not just stopping there. They’ve got the Vive Focus Vision, the new kid on the block from late 2024. This one’s doing the whole standalone VR and mixed reality jam, plus PC VR without cables but with its own kitschy wired thing.

Okay, pay attention, ’cause these bundles are only here until June 30th. You got the Vive Focus Vision PC VR Kit for $1,149. Includes headset, controllers, Wired Streaming Kit, and games like Metro Awakening, Arizona Sunshine 2, plus three more. The other bundle, just called Vive Focus Vision, is a bit cheaper at $1,049—same deal but minus the Wired Kit.

Funny enough, Focus Vision got pricier since last year. Thanks, tariffs! HTC’s trying to play nice by offering it at the original price till May 31st before they tack on $49. Gotta love economics, right?

Oh, and Europe and UK folks—don’t worry. HTC’s got bundles for you too. From Vive Pro 2 kits down to individual SteamVR Base Stations and Trackers. Price tags in euros and pounds, naturally. So fill your boots, folks.

Phew, what a ride. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the distractions. Enjoy the virtual escapades if you end up diving in. Or just hang out here with the rest of us procrastinators. Cheers!
