So, get this—after what feels like ages since they first teased it back in April, Marvel Rivals is finally dropping its summer swimsuit lineup. Yep, mark your calendars for Friday, July 18, 2025. I don’t know about you, but I’m both amused and a bit perplexed by the idea of superheroes in beachwear. But, hey, I’m not complaining.
NetEase Games just gave us a sneak peek, and let me tell you, Psylocke and Loki are looking—how should I say this—uncharacteristically chill? Psylocke’s rocking this “Breezy Butterfly” thing with a see-through top and a one-piece. Meanwhile, Loki, ever the fashion rebel, has snagged himself some kind of Asgardian speedo. Oh, and there’s a robe involved, complete with a golden alligator. Yeah, you read that right. Not sure why they chose an alligator, but it’s both ridiculous and fabulous.
These snazzy outfits are hitting digital shelves (is that a thing?) at 2:00 UTC / 10:00 a.m. ET / 7:00 a.m. PT. Price tags are still a mystery, but I’d bet my last snack it’ll be cheaper to grab the whole bundle than individually. Always a catch, isn’t there?
And, okay, can I just say? Loki’s swimsuit is kinda calling my name. As someone who dives into strategies with Loki pretty often, I might just swap out his usual TV-S2 outfit for this one. Fingers crossed they’ll toss in an alligator transformation emote—I mean, why not?
But wait! It doesn’t stop there. Our buddy Thor’s getting in on the swimwear action too. Big bro must be feeling the competitive spirit, right? Luna Snow’s wardrobe is heating up as well, so guess we’re in for more reveals soon. Who knows who else might surprise us with a beachy look?
Marvel Rivals isn’t alone in this beach party vibe. Over in the Street Fighter corner, Capcom is rolling out some sizzling getups for their crew—Cammy, Chun-Li, and the rest. Who knew virtual beach attire could be such a trend?
Quick sidetrack—have to vent a little here—I’m downright baffled my main man Thor hasn’t caught a break yet. Like, not even a tweak in Season 3? Come on! With Wolverine running rampant, Thor trying to keep up feels like me scrambling for sunscreen in July heat. I mean, I could really use a boost out here.
Anyway. Maybe it’s time I let Loki take the wheel for a while. As the God of Mischief, he’s probably got a trick or two to make it worth my while.
Oh, and for the uninitiated, Marvel Rivals is free-to-play on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. Dive in and maybe you’ll see what all the fuss is about. Or don’t and just enjoy the chaos from the sidelines. Your call.
