Man, so here’s the scoop. FromSoftware finally decided to say, “Hey, let’s chuck in some two-player co-op for Elden Ring Nightreign.” They’re calling it Duo Expeditions. Why two-player wasn’t a thing from the start? Beats me. I guess they were all in on the solo experience first. Anyway, co-op has been a trio gig until now, but that’s about to change with the next big update.
Speaking of which, patch 1.02 drops this Wednesday, July 30. And yeah, the Duo Expeditions kinda steal the show, but hey, there’s more. FromSoftware’s also throwing in some “quality of life” upgrades. They mentioned something about Relic filtering — more sorting options, which is nice if you’re drowning in Relics like I am.
And why is this timing sorta perfect? Well, because it rolls out just before Everdark Sovereign cranks it up again. This next go-around features beefed-up versions of Nightlords Tricephalos, Augur, the Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog. I mean, if you’re into taking on souped-up baddies, this is your jam.
Last few weeks, remember? We saw Everdark versions of those bosses like Gaping Jaws, Darkdrift Knight, and Sentient Pest. If all this seems like gobbledygook, don’t sweat it; there’s some random guide floating around about all those map events and the cool stuff you can snag. Not sure why I remember that, but there it is.
Oh, and Nightreign hitting over 5 million in sales? Nice work, FromSoftware. Guess people love their nightly necromancy adventures!
