Alright, so, picture this: I’m super hooked on this Netflix thing called KPop Demon Hunters. Seriously, nobody could’ve convinced me it meshes with my ancient Star Wars obsession. I mean, Cal Kestis, Bode Akuna, and Merrin (yeah, those guys from the Jedi games) with faces like Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from HUNTR/X? Wild, right?
Turns out, they both crave smackdowns and looking slick while doing ’em. Who would’ve thought?
Caught this wickedly crisp video by AnimatedJen. If kickass is your morning vibe, you gotta check it. It’s got the “How It’s Done” beat from HUNTR/X, and boom—Cal Kestis, Bode, and Merrin are schooling Empire thugs. Okay, they’re not skydiving out of a burning plane, but dude, their takedowns? Nuts.
Bode’s like, “You want some more? Cal, I think they want some more.” Next, bam—Cal’s kicking a shoretrooper, then Bode rockets in with a punch. Merrin’s twirling her staff like there’s no tomorrow. I’m hyped, and hey, we’ve still got a minute on the clock.
AnimatedJen’s my jam. Love how they’ve woven Cal’s story over the years. Cal as an Inquisitor in some alternate reality? Sold. Jedi games rock, and fans are itching for these characters to leap into live-action land.
Star Wars? Timeless fandom, no doubt. Fans spicing it up? That’s the essence. Sure, canon Cal, Merrin, and Bode (don’t get me started on Bode) likely wouldn’t be jamming to K-Pop while blasting troopers. But who’s stopping ‘em? No one! I’ve dubbed them MANT/S, by the way. Cere Junda as their manager? Someone’s got to write this on AO3 for me. Oh, modders, those outfits would be killer, please and thanks.
Anyway, I’m diving back into Jedi: Fallen Order, blasting “Takedown” while slicing Imperial grunts. If you need me… well, I’m somewhere there.
