Alright, so here’s the deal. Resolution Games comes out swinging with—get this—a Dungeons & Dragons version of Demeo. Yeah, they’re calling it “Battlemarked.” Saw their first gameplay sneak peek today, and yep, it’s got that Demeo vibe. Familiar but different? Maybe.
So, this thing was teased back in January. Resolution Games teamed up with Hasbro’s Wizards from Coastland or whatever. The new game, Battlemarked—yeah, let’s stick with that. Quick peek at the game in action, some landscapes flashed by, settings shuffled around. Just like Demeo, you and three buddies dive headfirst into monster-infested dungeons. Good times.
Oh, wait, check out this image—courtesy of Resolution Games, apparently. Not sure why that matters, but there you go. Anyway—er, no, let me backtrack—if Demeo’s new to you, here’s the scoop. It’s a tabletop-y RPG. Think fast turns on gridded dungeons. You move with action points, roll a die to battle. The die—three faces—swords and skulls. Critical hits or critical flops, your call.
Battlemarked rings the same bell. Same dice? Yeah, I think so. They got these action cards too. Attack, defense, buffs—like building your character’s strategy or something. Gives a unique twist to every class. Got it?
Oh, and they’re bragging about the VR/flatscreen hybrid gameplay. Nice touch. Steam, PlayStation 5, Quest 3/S, PSVR 2, PC VR—you name it. Late 2025 is the magic date for platforms. Wanna know more? Studio’s got more up their sleeve, not spilling it all yet. But soon, they say.
Resolution Games wants the D&D universe vibe, complete with story designer Matt Sernett—it’s like the spirit guide or maybe the grandmaster. Worked on Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale back in the day. So maybe it’s a nostalgia trip? Anyway, Battlemarked’s waiting to be wishlisted. Go for Horizon Store, PlayStation Store, or Steam. Choose your adventure—or just wait and see.
