Okay, here we go.

So, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time — yeah, that’s the name, I didn’t make it up — came out recently and bam! Over 800,000 copies gone in, like, 12 days. If you’re wondering why you didn’t hear about it till now, well, maybe you were living under a rock or something. Or maybe this game just sneaked up on us like a cat. Anyway, these games are everywhere now — PC, consoles, you name it.
You know, they first did this thing back in 2012 with the original Fantasy Life. Love how they casually waited more than a decade to drop a sequel. What are they thinking, right? But hey, now it’s all over, not just hanging out on some 3DS in Japan. It’s like, finally, we can all play it without needing to join some weird import club. It’s global, people!
Oh, right, they’ve got this other thing going too. They’re planning to hit a million sales by the end of June. Optimistic, aren’t they? But who knows, with this Switch 2 launching soon, maybe they’ll pull it off. Wait, Switch 2 is a thing? Go figure. There’s always some new shiny toy Nintendo has up its sleeve to sap your wallet dry with.
I saw on Twitter — because where else do we find out anything these days? — that they confirmed these sales figures. It sounds like they’re on track, only needing another 200,000 sold to catch up with the first game’s total. I mean, that’s kind of wild, isn’t it? Like, in just a few weeks, they’ve almost done what took them years before.
By the way, if you’re into chasing dragons or whatever, this game is packed with monsters. I didn’t count them, but someone claimed 126. Must’ve been bored or something. And some of these creatures drop rare stuff, so the game’s doing that “gotta collect ’em all” thing, blending nostalgia with that new-release hype.
Some of you might say that sales slow down after the initial buzz. Well, duh. But the real magic happens if it hits that one million mark — not bad for a game that’s been hibernating for ages. Strap in, let’s see if they make it.
So, yeah, if you haven’t checked it out yet, maybe it’s worth a look. Or not. It’s your call anyway. But props to them for aiming high! Anyway — wait, what was I saying? Oh right—let’s see if they hit the big one million. Time will tell.
